Property Management Platform

Redesigning a complex enterprise platform

Led a major platform transformation—expanding a legacy AV tool into a cloud-based system capable of managing any connected asset across an enterprise estate, with a new automation system and a rebuilt product foundation to support it.

Property Management Platform
Challenge

From legacy tool to modern platform

The platform had been built around AV and technology assets—but the ambition was bigger. To reach more sophisticated enterprise customers and manage estates more holistically, it needed to expand beyond AV to any connected asset, move entirely to the cloud, and introduce a powerful new automation system built from scratch.

Work & Outcomes

Architecture, then experience

I personally drove 90% of the UX design, starting with product direction before moving into detailed design across the platform’s four core experience areas: asset management, monitoring, workflow automation, and analytics.

  • Information architecture — defined a flexible location and asset hierarchy that could be configured to match any enterprise estate, with a UI structure built to support it
  • Asset finder — a filterable, sortable estate management view giving IT teams clear visibility and control across their entire asset portfolio
  • Workflow automation builder — an intuitive yet robust interface for sophisticated IT engineers to create, schedule, and manage automated actions across assets and locations
  • Monitoring dashboards — usage activity, utilization rates, device health, and alert management
  • End-to-end estate management — first-time setup, ongoing configuration, and day-to-day management unified into a single tool for the first time, replacing a separate setup tool entirely

The work made a highly complex future-state system legible to engineering and stakeholders, giving the product team a concrete vision to align around.
